The aftermarket SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Peugeot 307 CC and 308 CC made by Mods4cars received a facelift redesign. They now ship in a new, custom designed module enclosure, specifically made by Mods4cars for the purpose. It is smaller and slimmer and thereby easier to install in tight locations in the car. Two LEDs show status information and aid during the install process.

The SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Peugeot 307 CC and 308 CC offered by aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars provide simple and easy roof controls for convertibles. On Peugeot 307 CC and 308 CC the product allows opening and closing of the top while the car is moving, up to 40 km/h (~28mph). Thanks to the one-touch operation, the top switch only needs to be tapped once. It is no longer necessary to pull over and hold the switch down for the entire time.

Additionally the top can be controlled from the original key fob remote by issuing a key combination. This makes it possible to open the top before getting in the car. Vice versa it is also possible to close the top from a distance at the first sign of impending rainfall. No changes are necessary to the original key fobs or receiver system.

Apart from these two main features, SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Peugeot 307 CC and 308 CC modules also come with a few bonus features: Windows can be controlled separately from the top by remote. The “all windows” switch in the car can be made to close all windows with one-touch convenience. And a windows comfort feature allows the driver to still operate all windows for up to 60 seconds after turning the ignition off. An extended mode can be activated which allows the top to continue running while the engine is being started or stopped. The entire module can be deactivated temporarily while retaining all user configurable settings.

Aftermarket Automotive Electronics specialist Mods4cars has permanently reduced the retail price for the RemoteTOP Convertible Top Controller for Porsche 911 Carrera (996) Convertibles. The kit is now available for 99 Euros/$129 and makes usage of the convertible top more convenient and fun.

The main feature of the chip is the ability to remotely open and close the convertible top, using just the original key fob remote. Holding down the button on the remote for a set time puts the top in motion. A one-touch option can be turned on as well if full automatic top operation is desired.

There are a few additional bonus features such as active interior motion detector (alarm) with the top down, auto locking and unlocking of the doors and a short confirmation sound when locking and unlocking the car. All features can be turned on or off as needed. The entire module can be temporarily disabled as well while retaining all user settings for when it is re-enabled.

They now come in a custom designed product enclosure manufactured exclusively for Mods4cars. Effective immediately, the modules for Audi A3 and A4 Convertibles as well as Audi TT Roadster and Volkswagen Golf VI Convertible ship with the new module enclosure. The smaller, slimmer shape of the module makes it easier to install it in tighter spaces in the car. Two built in LEDs show the status of the module and aid during installation.

The SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Audi and VW make using the top simpler and more comfortable. The SmartTOP Convertible Top Add-On kit offered by aftermarket automotive electronics specialist Mods4cars is now available for the just recently introduced BMW 4 Series Convertible. The product makes daily life with the convertible top a much more enjoyable experience. On one hand the top can be operated while driving at slow speeds and with one-touch convenience. It is no longer necessary to hold down the top switch. The SmartTOP customer gets to put both hands back on the steering wheel quickly.

SmartTOP Convertible Top Kit for Mercedes-Benz E-Class now with Ultra Plug and Play wiring adapter 1/2

The SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller made by Mods4cars for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class convertible is a retrofit module which makes use of the top simpler, more fun and comes with a few bonus features as well. To benefit from these features, all that is necessary is to connect the module with the car electronics using the supplied custom designed plug-and-play adapter harness.

This harness simply plugs in between some connectors at the top control box and the SmartTOP module. In order to make installation even easier and to avoid any problems, the adapter was completely redesigned using OEM plugs that ensure secure, tight fit and reverse polarity protection. Simply connect plug and socket until they latch. Safety levers lock the connections in place.
