The SmartTOP convertible top control for Maserati GranCabrio by the company Mods4cars is now available. The retrofit Cabriolet module allows for the operation of the top while driving with One-Touch function. In addition, the top can be opened and closed from a distance via the existing vehicle key.

The manufacturer, Mods4cars, announced that the SmartTOP convertible top control for Maserati GranCabrio is now available. “We are pleased to be able to offer a smart comfort module for the Maserati GranCabrio and thus support yet another exclusive vehicle brand,” said PR spokesman Sven Tornow.

The SmartTOP roof module is retrofitted to the vehicle and with clever additional functions makes the everyday cabriolet life easier. With it, among other things, One-Touch operation of the top is made possible. Just a short tap and the movement of the top is executed automatically. The interior key no longer needs to be held down continuously.

Furthermore, the operation of the top from a distance via the original vehicle key is also made possible. By pressing a key combination on the remote control, the top can be opened and closed remotely. “This way our customers can open their top as they move toward their vehicle. Conversely, it is possible to remotely close the top, should it suddenly start to rain, for example.” explains Sven Tornow further. A change to the vehicle key is not required for this function.

Like every SmartTOP, the comfort module for the Maserati GranCabrio also offers other additional useful functions. Programming of the front or all windows, as to whether they should close automatically after the top opens, is now possible. In addition, the windows can be opened and closed via the key fob remote. Starting or stopping the engine does not interrupt the current top movement. The module can also be deactivated at any time.

All functions of the SmartTOP convertible top control for Maserati GranCabrio can be programmed according to personal wishes. A USB port attached to the SmartTOP module allows for connection to the home PC/Mac. This allows the roof module to be conveniently configured. It also makes it possible to install software updates which are provided free of charge, by Mods4cars.

The included plug-and-play adapter and easy access make it easy to install. By simply plugging together, the connection between SmartTOP and vehicle electronics is established. No cables need to be cut; thus a traceless dismantling is possible at any time.
