The manufacturer Mods4cars has launched the SmartTOP convertible top module for the Porsche 911 Targa (992). Like every SmartTOP, the convertible top module for the Porsche 911 Targa (992) offers other useful additional functions. The ongoing movement of the convertible top will not be interrupted by switching off the engine. The module can be completely deactivated if so required. A USB port attached to the SmartTOP module allows free software updates to be installed and the module to be programmed via PC/MAC.

The retrofitted SmartTOP module for the new Porsche Carrera Convertible (992) by the manufacturer, Mods4cars, will be available as of summer 2020. It enables the opening and closing of the convertibles top while driving slowly with just one push of a button. It will also be possible to operate the convertibles top with the vehicles key with One-Touch.

The manufacturer, Mods4cars, has announced the SmartTOP convertible top module for the new Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible (992). The complementary convertible top module will be available as of summer 2020. “We are pleased that the owners of the new Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet can start the 2020 season with our SmartTOP module,” explains PR spokesman Sven Tornow.

The SmartTOP convertible top controls by Mods4cars, provide more comfort with clever functions and also offer numerous additional features. For example, the SmartTOP for the new Porsche Carrera Convertible, makes One-Touch convertible top operation possible. Aftermarket Automotive Electronics specialist Mods4cars has permanently reduced the retail price for the RemoteTOP Convertible Top Controller for Porsche 911 Carrera (996) Convertibles. The kit is now available for 99 Euros/$129 and makes usage of the convertible top more convenient and fun.

The main feature of the chip is the ability to remotely open and close the convertible top, using just the original key fob remote. Holding down the button on the remote for a set time puts the top in motion. A one-touch option can be turned on as well if full automatic top operation is desired.

There are a few additional bonus features such as active interior motion detector (alarm) with the top down, auto locking and unlocking of the doors and a short confirmation sound when locking and unlocking the car.
