SmartTOP enables top operation while driving at slow speeds as well as remote control from the original key fob remote.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Aftermarket Automotive Electronics Specialist Mods4cars has further improved the wiring adapter harness that comes with the SmartTOP Add-On Convertible Top Controller for VW EOS. The new Ultra-Plug-and-Play adapter makes installing the kit even easier than before. \u201cUsing the new wiring harness installation has become extremely quick and easy. The 3M T-Tap connectors are no longer required.\u201d explains PR-Manager Sven Tornow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis means that anyone can now install our add-on kit quickly and easily and enjoy the added benefits of the SmartTOP module.\u201c Sven Tornow continues. With the kit installed, it is possible to control the top from the center console switch while driving at slow speeds of up to 44km\/h (~28mph) and with one-touch convenience. The usual emergency stop to raise the top at the first sign of impending rainfall is no longer necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally the top can be raised or lowered from afar, using the original key fob remote. \u201cOn hot days our customers can drop the top while still approaching their car.\u201d Sven Tornow explains. Likewise it is now possible to close the top of the parked car from the remote. In order to get these features, it is not necessary to modify the original fobs or the receiver system.<\/p>\n<p>The SmartTOP Add-On Convertible Top Controller for VW EOS comes with a lot of bonus features, all of which are programmable according to each user\u2019s tastes. Windows and sunroof can be controlled from the remote. Locking and unlocking of the car can produce a brief audible signal. The hazard flashers can be activated during remote operation. It is also possible to reverse the direction of the console top switch.<\/p>\n<p>Another nice feature is the ability to enable top operation with the hitch installed. A park-assist feature can lower the passenger mirror when shifting into reverse gear. The programmable extended mode allows a top operation to continue while the engine is being started or stopped. The entire module can be temporarily disabled while retaining all other user settings for when it is re-enabled later. With the new Ultra-Plug-and-Play wiring adapter the kit can eventually be removed without leaving any trace or damage.<\/p>\n<p>All SmartTOP modules come equipped with a USB port. They can be configured or updated using a PC or Mac.
