SETUP MENU does not show up, no AUDIO OFF message in cluster.

PROBLEM:

Everything works, but how do I get the menu to appear on the cars dashboard, please?

Looking at your manual, my display does not say audio off, just shows the clock with ignition half of, and the head unit in audio > off. The green indicators do light up when I hold hangup, but no menu. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?


SOLUTION:

With the ignition  on, and the head unit on, press and hold 3 buttons "hang up" "#" and "1" to enable "engineering mode".

Scroll down to screen 2, menu item 9 and select "system reset".

Then reset. This puts many things to default... but after I did this, you instructions worked and I was able to access the smart top menu, where I wasn't before.

Hope that helps if any other customers have a similar issue. A smarter person might be able to figure out which setting caused the issue... but this worked for me.
