How come the top switch acts "reversed" on some Audis or Golf 6? Is programming pull and push are reversed?

Problem:

Some cars seem to have the switch wired "upside down" from the factory. In these cars all switch actions are reversed. Pull to raise the top and push to lower the top become pull to lower and push to raise.

Solution:

Our module has a feature called top switch invert. When this feature is activated, the top switch action can be reversed and thereby users can select which way is more intuitive for them. IMPORTANT fact is though, that for the programming setup, the switch will still work in reversed order, since the switch is physically wired that way. If you see that pulling selects the next function and pushing changes the function setting, then the switch wiring is reversed as described. The switch invert option only reverses the switch for top operation, NOT for the setup menu. Subsequently the setup menu will always have to be operated one way. Either push to select next function (the default) or pull to select next function (for some cars where the switch wires are reversed).
