Volvo C70: Top or windows won't operate from the remote when any door is open

Problem:
Remote top operation is interrupted or windows won't roll up or down after any door is opened while the top was still moving.

Cause:
Volvo NEVER intended the top or windows to be operated while the ignition if off We had to use a lot of programming tricks to get this to work at all. Unfortunately on some models opening a door will interrupt window operation or even top operation.

Solution:
Unfortunately there is no real solution to this problem. It is of technical nature (software in the original factory control modules), where we can not change any settings. We had to come up with a workaround which we had to accept as the only way to make it work at all. Do not open any doors while the top is being operated from the remote or simply use the console switch (one-touch feature) with the ignition in the ON position.
