One or both of the windows will not close with the module, despite everything being connected properly.
Problem:
One or both windows will only allow to be lowered but will not close when either closing the top with one-touch operation or using the remote. They can however be controlled via the regular windows switches.
Solution:
Like on many other cars, the window position encoder can under certain circumstances lose calibration and if that happens, "window-up" commands from the top controller are being ignored.
To check and re-calibrate the window(s), do the following:
1. With top and windows fully closed, open the door in question, look at the window. It should jump down by a small bit and also raise back up the moment the door is closed.
2. If the window does NOT jump back up after closing the door, the calibation is off and needs to be re-learned.
3. Roll the window down (with ignition on, motor not running) using the window switch in THAT door (NOT using the switch in the driver's door for the passenger window). Let go, then press and hold the switch again for 3 full seconds. Raise the window fully, let go and then also hold the switch for 3 seconds.
4. Redo the door test. Open and close the door. The windows should not jump down and back up.
5. Once that it confirmed, the module should work again as expected. Windows should go up after closing the convertible top and using the remote to lower and raise the windows should work.
