Porsche 996: RemoteTOP problems while opening top by remote

Problem:
After installing the remoteTOP module and setting the CHIRP feature (function 5) of the module, the convertible top sometimes or always opens immediately upon unlocking the car by remote. Sometimes the windows roll down a bit, sometimes the windows (or the driver's window) does not roll back up. Also locking or unlocking the car may only trigger a short beep sound but not actually activate the door locks.

Possible Cause:
The remoteTOP offers a "bonus feature" which uses the alarm horn to create brief chirps as an audible confirmation. This feature is not compatible with all models / model years of Porsche 996 cars.

Solution:
Please try to set function 5 to 0 (off) or 1 (lock only) and check if that was the problem. if so, then function no 5 might not be fully compatible with your model year's remote control receiver. We had generally positive feedback when using setting 1.
