Porsche 996: RemoteTOP will not roll up windows after top close

Problem:
The remoteTOP allows opening and closing of the convertible top by remote, but the windows always stay down after closing the top.

Possible Cause:
This problem is well known on all 2004 models and all models with updated convertible top controller firmware. Porsche decided at some point that closing the windows from the key (using the key in the driver's door lock) is too risky and simply disabled the windows.

Solution:
This problem can only be fixed by installing our smartTOP module along with the remoteTOP. The smartTOP connects directly to the top controller and allows closing of the windows by remote or key along with it's other useful features. For technical reasons there is, unfortunately, no other solution to this problem.
