Windows suddely lost one-touch, don't roll up after closing the top or stop too soon

Problem:

This is a generic problem that can happen on ANY car with electronic window controls with pinch-protection. Either after disconnecting the battery or after installing/uninstalling the module or after changing any other wiring in the car it can happen, that one or several windows won't return to the fully closed position after the top is closed, won't react to "one-touch" close commands or behave completely erratically.

Cause:

The window driver electronics has a position encoder built in, so the control units (and the rest of the car electronics) always "know" the current position. That encoder can get out of sync, and needs to get re-calibrated. Usually this happens after the CAN data bus connection got interrupted (installing or uninstalling a module) or the battery got disconnected.

Solution:

To re-calibrate the windows, follow the car's user manual. Different manufacturers use different procedures. Sometimes it is enough to just lower, raise and lower the affected window(s) manually all the way, sometimes the switch needs to be held down for a few seconds after reaching the end positions. Usually all wonky window behavior (especially one that persists with the module disabled or uninstalled) will go away.
